Our Team
With extensive experience in, and a deep knowledge of, child development and teaching pedagogy each OBVNS staff members guide children as they learn through their play. We provide our team with excellent Continued Professional Development opportunities and all undertake regular training in order to ensure our practice is up-to-date and well informed.
Our management team oversee both settings to ensure a consistency of approach, effective transition and a smooth day-to-day running on both sites. We think it's really important that our children get to know all of our team and feel confident in their care - this also aids transition between our two sites as well as between groupings.. As well as organised trips between both sites for shared events or stay and plays we deploy our team, and any regular cover staff, across both sites.
We are proud to say that the whole of our term is paediatric first aid trained.

Key Person
Once we are confident your child has settled into life at Old Basing Village Nursery School, we assign your child two key people, Our teams use the settling in period so as to be sure that the key worker team is a good fit.
All of our team members are on hand to ensure that from day one, there's someone ready to provide support to both you and your child during the settling-in process.
You'll stay well-informed about your child's progress at nursery, with updates on their activities, meals, and highlights via our wonderful Famly app. This way, you won't miss any important milestones in your child's development. These are all documented in your child's online learning journal, with permanent access - allowing you to cherish their time at our nursery for years to come.
